Novamar is a stone's throw from the Gran Alacant, Arenales del Sol and Santa Pola beaches, so that there are a wide range of beaches to choose from. The Gran Alacant and Carabassí beaches are quite close to those in Arenales del Sol. The restaurants around Gran Alacant cater for all tastes with Italian, Indian and Chinese cuisine available in addition to the traditional Spanish dishes. Those with a conservative palate can still get "burger and chips".
Nearby Santa Pola´s gastronomy is based on seafood. Typical dishes are: caldero, arroz a banda, arroz negro, blanquillo de rape, gazpacho de mero.
The Clot del Galvany, El Hondo nature reserve with its conservation centre and the Carabassí beach and dunes are all within 1km of the apartment. Adjacent to the conservation centre is an extensive picnic area which is popular with the locals for barbeques and family gatherings.
The lagoon attracts a wide variety of birds, both waders and birds of prey. Dragonflies and butterflies abound and there is a hide that enables you to watch the birds without disturbing them. Walking through the dunes and bushes you may see the spectacularly crested Hoopoe and many other interesting birds.
At the end of it all, you can relax on the balcony sipping sangria as you watch the sunset. What more could you ask of a holiday apartment?
