Santa Pola is the next town along from Gran Alacant and can be reached by taking the N332 main road southwards. Alternatively there is a pleasant coastal road that skirts the foot of the cliffs by the lighthouse and brings you to Santa Pola via Santa Pola del Este. Santa Pola has a couple of large hypermarkets. There is a very large open air market on Mondays and Saturdays adjacent to the Campo Municipal de Deportivos.
In 2007, a spacious underground car park opened adjacent to the castle in the centre of town which has considerably improved the parking situation.
