Costa Blanca Climate

Hot summer sun or getting away from the grey of an English winter day for some winter sunshine, the climate around the Costa Blanca is reckoned to be among the healthiest in the world. If you want a quick getaway, short break or winter sun, then this is the place for you as the weather here is pleasant all year round.

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the Spanish. That is because the tourists tend to go in the dry season. July and August are the only months when you can be fairly certain it won't rain. The annual fourteen inches (The UK gets about thirty) is spread through the rest of the year with the winter months, like the UK being the wettest. Although even here it is a lot less than at home and generally it feels warmer!

The 'heat freaks' will obviously go for July and August, these being the 'fry your brains' months but the climate is pleasant throughout the year with warm sunny days even in December, the temperature seldom dropping below sixty degrees in old money. It is an ideal time for sightseeing and the odd round of golf. Far better than those chill windswept courses back home.

The sea is warm enough to swim from Easter right through to the end of October for most of us and all year for the stoical.
